Este álbum fue inspirado por "Tiempo de abrazar", novela inconclusa de principios de los '30 de Juan Carlos Onetti. Los nombres de los tracks forman parte de la novela.

This album was inspired by "Tiempo de abrazar", an unfinished novel from the early '30s by Juan Carlos Onetti. The names of the tracks are part of the novel, and translated they are something like:

Monstrous lie civilization, the false and sordid civilization of merchants.

A lie the grotesque buildings with the wink of the bloody illuminated signs.

A lie the polished surface of the streets.

A lie the fast and frenetic trains.

A lie the factories of bold chimneys, littering the suburbs day and night.

A lie the shiny machines, shamelessly showing their insides of steel.

A lie the calm family evenings, under the golden electric chandelier in the dining room.

A lie the stupid game of the elevators, bouncing tirelessly on the ground floor to go up to 9 or 22 and fall again.

A lie the ancient editions of newspapers, with their rudely black headlines.

A lie the rhythmic movements of the electric cranes on top of the cargo ships.

A lie the metallic rain of the typewriters in the offices.

A lie the multitude of the streets, the sports fields, the racetracks, the theaters, the demonstrations bristling with banners, the slow twilight strolls through the fashionable streets.
